| Hey Guys.
Seeing as no one else has any news I thought I would let you all know what I am up to.
Has been a busy year or so flying here. Now flying for a company that does all sorts, from tourist flights, training, firefighting, plus contract work up in Africa. I am currently flying a 44, Longranger, Bell 205 Huey, and this year got my multi-engine rating on a Super Frelon. We do training on all the machines in a little school, that specialises in Firefighting training, turbine conversions, and slinging, plus some abinitio stuff on the 44. I fly the Huey on tourist flips, the Super Frelon on firefighting, the 44 for some training, and the longranger on contract. I'll be off to Angola in a week to do a 3 month contract longlining with the longranger.
There is currently alot of work here in Africa for guys with a bit of experience, and we have a training program for cadets to start firefighting. We can also do turbine conversions at rock bottom prices if any of your students are interested in something a little different.
Hope you guys are still all well. I still can't post photos on the site, it just doesn't seem to let me at all, no matter what I do.

| This picture is of Capt. Bona checking the oil on the new Clipper R44 in the grounds of Ashford Castle near Gallway in Southern Ireland, just before partaking of a lovely breakfast which included an Irish speciality "white pudding" which is a derivative of our black pudding ? knowing what black pudding is made from prevented me from asking what white pudding was made from !!
The Clipper II has pop out floats which make for a safer water crossing, and the whole journey made a fantastic extended navex. It could include crossing Anglesey, skirting the southern tip of the Isle of Man, perhaps a landing at Newton Ardes airfield behind Strangford Lough which was one of the contenders for "Britains Best view".
An overnight stay at Ashford Castle doesn't have to cost the earth, and details of offers can be found on their website. http://www.ashford.ie/
If you would like to extend your flying experience, then call the office on 01792 202250.

| Now that the nights are drawing in, you might like to consider doing a night rating ? Pat has a favoirite saying which goes something like " only 2 things fly at night...bats and t*ats !) but I can confirm from personal experience that it is something everyone should experience at least once !! even if you don't want to do the full rating. For more information, call the office and probably speak to Dave, who I'm sure will give you a more favourable report on this activity.
PS/ a prize for anyone who can tell me where along the M4 I took this pic.
